SUBSTANCE: invention refers to manufacturing of building materials. Method of heating powdered or dust-like material in a cyclone heater comprises at least two cyclone sections, each of which includes vertical pipeline and cyclone. At that some portion of material supplied at least to one cyclone section is fed to the first section of vertical pipeline and heated maximum from 450°C to at least 550°C within the specified cyclone section. The rest material supplied to the same cyclone section is fed to the last section of the above vertical pipeline. Device used for method realisation includes cyclone heater with at least two cyclone sections, each of which consists of vertical pipeline and cyclone.
EFFECT: energy consumption reduction, and waste-heat recovery.
