FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention covers process for spherical or hemispherical glass granules applied as prolonged action glassy fertiliser. Melt granulator includes heating module 1 containing melting pot 3 with bed nozzle 4, receiving module 2 containing inverted cone inlet tank 7, compressor 13, storage device 16. Inside of the cone close to its upper edge there is a platform damper 18 used to collect melt drops in free fall and shaped as thin metal plate with plane turned inside the cone and inclined horizontally and vertically.
EFFECT: simplified process of melt granulating, device downsizing and improved shape and size identity of granules.
