METHOD OF WEAR-RESISTANT COATING RECEIVING Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B23K20/08

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: explosion welding of plate made of titanium with steel plate is implemented in modes, providing waves amplitude in area of metals connection, equal to 0.18-0.37 mm. Process is implemented with impact velocity of welded plates, equal to 440-650 m/s, and strictly regulated blasting material velocity of detonation. Welded blank is heated till the temperature 900-950°C and kept at this temperature in vacuum furnace for 10-14 hours till formation of highly consistent intermetalloid diffusive interlayer of thickness 160-300 mcm in formed with explosion welding wave-like area of connection of titanium and steel. After blank cooling with furnace it is additionally heated till the temperature 930-950°C and kept with this temperature for 3-8 minutes. Then blank is cooled down in water for separation of titanium for steel by diffusive interlayer with forming on titanium and steel highly consistent wear-resistant coating with regular wavy surface.

EFFECT: simultaneous receiving on titanium and steel plates of wear-resistant intermetalloid coatings with regular wavy surface and with specified surface roughness amplitude.
