SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology and to be used in pharmaceutical industry. Strain Rhodococcus erythropolis "ВКПМ" Ac-1740 resulted from actinobacteria selection, is able to introduce 9α-hydroxygroup into steroid line of hydrosterone, pregnane, estrane and does not produce 1,2-dehydrogenase. Utilisation of the invention allows for high 9α-hydroxylase activity both on common mediums, and high dimethyl formamide content mediums.

EFFECT: ensured high 9α- hydroxylase activity both on common mediums, and high dimethyl formamide content mediums.
