FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: there is offered a method of 14α-hydroxylation of Δ4-3,17-diketoandrostenes by means of a new strain of Curvularia lunata fungi, RNCIM No. F-981. Curvularia lunata fungus mycelium, RNCIM No. F-981, is suspended in an aqueous medium not containing the ingredients required for fungoid growth. Transformed Δ4-3,17-diketoandrostene is introduced in the aqueous medium either in the form of a microcrystalline suspension, or in the form of a water-soluble complex with chemically modified β-cyclodextrine. The 14α-hydroxyderivatives of androstenedione (AD) introduction is 40-70 %.
EFFECT: invention allows to enhance the accumulation of 14α-hydroxysteroids and to simplify a method for recovery thereof.
