FIELD: electrics.

SUBSTANCE: vircator is a coaxial diode positioned inside waveguide of vacuum chamber and consisting of cylindrical cathode with internal emission surface and anode in the form of at least two grids in the form of cylinder and anode electrode. Grids are positioned inside cathode and are coaxial to it. Grids are positioned so as to form virtual cathodes between them. Microwave (UHF) emission is transmitted from generator into free space by emission transmitting system in the form of conical receiver. Grids have electrical connection to cone by anode electrode. Internal sealed generator cavities (vacuum chamber) are separated from environment by dielectric vacuum sealed port. High voltage from outer power source is fed to diode.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of electron beam energy transformation into UHF emission energy due to conditions for multiple virtual cathode forming, enhanced efficiency of generator.
