FIELD: electrics.
SUBSTANCE: lightning receiver in mesh lightning conductor takes form of close mesh with cell size of 1×1 m, made of lightning protection cables of over 6 mm diametre, suspended at least at four 35-50 m high supports. Each of at least four current discharges is made of flexible cable with the same conductivity as lightning protection cable. Current discharge serves for mesh lifting as well and for that purpose each cable passes through reinforced steel block with rotating roller, mounted on each support. Mesh nod connections and contacts of current discharge with mesh and with earthing are bolt connections with carved cruciform electroconductive pads for conductivity enhancement, and steel block size and positioning depend on dynamic load evolving at mesh lifting to supports.
EFFECT: efficient protection of humans, equipment and construction machinery from lightning discharge hit in regions with high thunderstorm rate.
