FIELD: construction and repair of pipeline transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to repair of larger-diameter gas main lines. According to proposed method, two rings are installed and reduced on pipelines at two sides of damage place. Coupling with upper and lower cocks are fitted on rings. Two holes are made from both sides of coupling into space between each pair of rings and cocks are installed in said holes with press-fitting of sealing compound to form sealing at end faces of coupling. Space of coupling is filled with sealing compound under pressure equal to or exceeding internal pressure in pipeline. Sealing compound contains filler of elastic grains or fluoroplastic chips.
EFFECT: improved quality of repair.
