FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device is intended for application in plasma generators. Invention claims systems and methods of microwave plasma generation. Device includes nozzle (26) of microwave plasmatron with gas input tube (40), rod-shaped conductor (34) mounted in gas input tube (40) and head piece close to gas input tube (40) outlet. Part (35) of rod-shaped conductor (34) enters UHF resonator (24) to receive microwaves passing through resonator (24). The microwaves received are focused on head piece for gas heating to plasma state. Microwave plasmatron nozzle (26) includes also vortex guide (36) between rod-shaped conductor (34) and gas input tube (40) imparting helical flow direction to gas passing through the tube (40). Additionally microwave plasmatron nozzle (26) includes screening device to reduce microwave power loss through gas input tube (40).
EFFECT: possible generation of plasma at atmospheric pressure for efficient and cost-effective sterilisation.
