FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and concerns the materials applied in waxed reconstruction of injured bone tissues. A high-porous elastic chitosan sponge is made by foaming the aqueous solution containing dissolved high-molecular chitosan (molecular weight 300000 g/mol or more). The porous structure is resulted from carbonic gas delivery produced from ammonium carbonate introduced in the initial solution. After hardened, washed in ethanol and dried the high-porous plastic sponge of porosity 85% and more is made.
EFFECT: due to elasticity and high porosity the present chitosan sponges fill bone defects at minimum clearance that ensures uniform bone tissue formation throughout the entire extent of the defect.
