FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: silicon reduction is carried out by reaction of the gaseous silicon tetrafluoride with magnesium in the vortex reactor at temperature less than 1000°C. Silicon tetrafluoride and hydrogen fluoride obtained by the destruction of the fluorosilicic salt are passed together through 4-7% oleum solution of silicon dioxide.
EFFECT: high purity polycristalline silicon, increase of the silicon yield and ecological compatibility of the production, simplification of the silicon production process and decrease of the end-product cost.
