FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention can be used in chemical industry. Through reaction of hydrofluosilicic acid and an organic base, an organosoluble salt is obtained, which is dried in air or inert gas at 55-60°C. Silicon tetrafluoride and hydrogen fluoride obtained from decomposition of this salt, without separation, are passed through silicon dioxide in the presence of oleum. Silicon is obtained from silicon tetrafluoride using magnesium vapour in a vortex reactor at temperature below 1000°C.
EFFECT: highly pure silicon, increased output of end product and reduced cost of production.
