FIELD: forensic science.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of forensic science and is intended for coding of imprints of fingers, palms and feet. For this purpose on papillary pattern lines and peculiar features are defined, peculiar features are numbered, direction vector is determined for every peculiar feature, its coordinates and type, vector and curvature of papillary lines in surroundings of peculiar feature, scale characteristic, ridge count is defined between peculiar features. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that center of scanning line rotation is serially selected as every point of every papillary line, excluding peculiar features themselves, and for every rotation center nest is arranged in the form of ordered set of pairs. Every pair is represented by number of peculiar feature met in process of scanning and number of ridge lines between center of rotation and met peculiar feature, at that identical nests are combined.
EFFECT: improved identification due to increased stability and accuracy of mathematical description of system of papillary pattern imprints criteria.
