FIELD: instrument making; aviation.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance with the proposed method, successive steps are carried out automatically and repeated several times. In particular, current values of several parametres of the given aeroplane (A), are determined. Using these values, the first position (P1) associated with the aeroplane (A) is determined and this first position (P1) is compared with at least one forbidden zone (Z1). If the first position (P1) is in the forbidden zone (Z1), at least one alarm signal is generated. The first position (P1) corresponds to an extrapolated position of the nose of the aeroplane (A) at the end of a special time interval, beginning with the current moment in time, during land navigation of the aeroplane (A) into the airport. The forbidden zone (Z1) is a pre-determined forbidden zone of the airport. The device for realising this method has a set of information sources for determining active values of several parameters of the aeroplane. A computer device is provided, for determining the first position using the said active values, corresponding to the position which is extrapolated relative the nose of the aeroplane at the end of the special time interval from the current moment in time. There is also a data base, provided with at least one predetermined forbidden zone of the airport, means of comparing the first position with the predetermined forbidden zone of the airport and alarm apparatus for generating at least one alarm signal, if the first position is in the forbidden zone.
EFFECT: safer land navigation of an aeroplane into an airport.
