SUBSTANCE: invention relates to data transfer networks. A broadcast multicast service centre (BM-SC) generates a random number and broadcasts it to user equipment in the service area of a radio access network (RAN). A storage module or universal integrated circuit card (UICC) in the user equipment generates a radio access key (RAK), which is a function of a random number and a key, chosen from a group consisting of a public land mobile network key (PK) and a broadcast access key (BAK), and then depending on RAK, the service identification number or user identification number, for example, P-TMSI, generates a temporary registration key (RGK), which can be extracted by RAN, so as to verify registration legitimacy.

EFFECT: prevention of unauthorised access to multimedia services.
