FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: essence of the method lies in the approach to pterygopalatine fossa and destruction of pterygopalatine ganglion. Osteoplastic attenuated sinusotomy of the maxillary sinus is done with formation of a hole in the bone. An extra hole is made in the rear wall of the maxilliary sinus and through the formed the holes, under visual supervision, the pterygopalatine fossa is uncovered. The pterygopalatine ganglion is separated and locally destroyed. The holes made in the bone are closed by bone fragments and the wound is stitched.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and locality of destruction of the pterygopalatine ganglion, reduced number of intraoperative complications.
