FIELD: printing industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns printing production and can be applied in production of printed articles with anti-fraud protection, using claimed method and device of hot hologram application. Device includes hot application module formed by work cylinder and support cylinder. Cylinders are mounted so as their axes lie in one vertical plane. Each cylinder features interacting driving gear rings maintaining simultaneous mutually opposite rotation of the cylinders. Device features drive shafts of printed article blanc sheet feed and drive shafts of hologram sheet feed. The shafts transport blanc and hologram sheets flatly and parallel between the shafts, using automatic control system and automatic synchronisation system by auxiliary and supporting shafts of the device and through hot application module. Work cylinder is hollow and features heating system with heat carrier circulating inside the cylinder cavity, and heat carrier feed and discharge system. To perform two-stroke method of hologram sheet positioning against blanc sheet, the device is equipped with vacuum boxes functioning as buffers and positioned at both sides of hot hologram application module along the course of blanc and hologram sheet feed, with hologram sheet positioned and fed with allowance inside the boxes. Vacuum buffer boxes feature optical approximation sensors to prevent mechanical contact of hologram sheet surface and internal surface of vacuum boxes. Hologram sheet feed system features additional reverse drive shaft which can maintain reciprocal motion of hologram sheet in the space between vacuum boxes. Additionally the device is equipped with optical sensor of contrast labels on blanc sheet and optical sensor of synchronisation to synchronisation label on hologram sheet.
EFFECT: increased protection degree for printed articles, improved manufacturability of protective label application, increased speed, precision and reliability of protective label application together while maintaining continuous process of protective label application onto printed products.
