FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical methods of producing coatings for objects made from titanium and its alloys, and can be used for making bioactive surfaces on implants. The method involves putting an object into an aqueous solution of electrolyte and triggering micro-arc discharges on the surface of the object. The electrolyte used contains, wt %: potassium hydroxide 2; hydroxyapatite nano-structure 0.5, where the hydroxyapatite nano-structure is added in form of an aqueous colloidal solution. The object is processed in pulsed anode-cathode mode with anode-cathode current frequency of 50 Hz, duration of anode and cathode pulses of 250 mcs and cathode pulse delay of 1000 mcs.
EFFECT: obtaining coating with the same content as bone tissue with Ca/P ratio of approximately 1,67, with advanced surface structure and good mechanical properties.
