SUBSTANCE: invention concerns digital image processing and can be used in the devices for automatic authentification or identification of the person. The technical result is reached because the device contains a prism, a light source, light from it, passing through a prism, shines a surface of a prism for fingerprint imaging, the plano-convex lens combined with an output surface of a prism, thus the prism is used with the lower matte surface, and a light source consisting of a matrix of light-emitting diodes, is covered with a film disseminating light, the objective consisting of several lenses with clarified optics, a relocator of an objective in the form of the cylinder having an internal cylindrical cavity with carving (hole), axes of symmetry of the cylinder and a cylindrical cavity (hole) displace rather each other, an objective screw in in a cylindrical cavity (hole), and the axis of symmetry of an objective corresponds to an optical axis of the device, and a sensor receiving the image from an objective.

EFFECT: increase of resolution of the device to the value not less than 600 dots per inch, and also abbreviation of time for device preliminary adjustment.
