FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: mix of fluids is separated into phases by letting mix to pass via horizontal feed pipe, one phase exhibiting higher density as compared with the other one. Then mix is passed via inclined pipe. Fluid with lower density runs off the first release system, while higher-density fluid runs off the second release system. Interface between light phase and heavy phase is controlled in inclined pipe with the help of level control device that varies the high-density fluid flow to maintain surface boundary between resulted levels.
EFFECT: simplified mix separation.
