FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: to produce titanium phosphate, solid ammonium titanyl sulfate is mixed with phosphoric acid. The obtained mixture is maintained with the formation and separation of the titanophosphate semi-product, which is washed with water until the residual content of ammonium ion is 2-4%. The washed titanophosphate semi-product is treated with a solution of hydrochloric acid with a concentration of 0.1-1.0 M HCl at T:H=1:(5-10) for 0.5-2 hours to obtain a suspension. The resulting suspension consists of an acidic ammonium solution and an activated titanophosphate semi-product containing a crystalline phase. The resulting suspension is filtered with the separation of the activated titanophosphate semi-product, which is washed with water to a residual NH4 ion content of 0.1-0.2%, and subjected to the heat treatment to obtain the desired product.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the filterability of the activated titanophosphate semi-product, and the sorption capacity of titanium phosphate.
