FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes vacuum smelting and pouring of melt into mould, influence on melt in casting mold and gating system by electromagnetic field with direction, matching with direction of gravitational forces, from solenoid, fed by polyphase current, crystallisation and cooling of ingots. On melt in casting mold and gating system it is influenced by quasihomogeneous electromagnetic field during all period of transition from condition of liquidus up to condition of solidus. Values of phase current in solenoid is installed subject to following correlation 1:(1.08-1.20):(1.27-1.35).
EFFECT: increasing of physical-mechanical properties of ingots.
