FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: device has a burner with a tip, cooling surfaces 1, on which a flame 10 is directed, and a device for creating a gas boundary layer between them. Cooling surfaces 1 can be formed by two revolving drums, cylinders or endless tape. Between the flame 10 and the cooling surfaces 1, there is a tapering gap 12 and a thin gas boundary layer 5, which can be created by letting in gas using a deflector shield, passing gas through openings or pores in the cooling surfaces 1, as well as evaporating liquid on the cooling surfaces 1. For streamlining, the flow rate at the narrowest point of the tapering gap 12 is greater than outflow velocity of the flame 10 at the outlet of the burner. The formed aerosol is separated and the cooling surface is cleaned, pH of the obtained soot is less than or equal to 6.0. Ash residue is less than or equal to 0.1%, and mass ratio of residue after sieving with a sieve with mesh width of 5 mcm is less than or equal to 200 parts/million.
EFFECT: method is simple, cost-effective and allows for obtaining aerosol in bulk.
