FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in chemical industry, in technical carbon technology. Proposed carbon black is characterized by size distribution of its aggregate expressed by the ratio (d90-d10)/d50 that is ≤1.1. The method of carbon black production includes non-mandatory mixing of gas mixture containing carrier gas and raw material for carbon black with hot air and supplying it to tube burner. Gas mixture is burned in output of tube burner and flame torches together with freely drawn in ambient air are drawn in through the cooled narrowing slot and are cooled in this slot. The ratio of slot height to its width measured on upper edge of the slot and being from 0.5 to 10 mm is from 1 to 100. Flow speed in the narrowest place of the slot is from 10 to 200 m/s. The carbon black proposed in the invention can be used as filler, amplifying filler, UV-stabilizer, conducting technical carbon, pigment, reducer or oxidizer. The carbon black provides high positive contribution to color tone when used in paint materials.
EFFECT: method of carbon black production provides for withdrawal of maximal amount of heat from the flame without sedimentation of resulting carbon black on cool surface.
