FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to device and method for assessment of remaining service life of shot-firing container. Tensometric detector is fixed on shot-firing container. Tensometric detector measures high-frequency repeating deformation caused in shot-firing container during each explosion. Data of deformation signal obtained by tensometric detector are analysed to calculate accumulated extent of fatigue damage, provided by high-frequency repeating load applied to shot-firing container during each explosion. Remaining service life of shot-firing container is assessed on the basis of accumulated value of accumulated extents of fatigue damage.
EFFECT: easier planning of works and elimination of decrease in efficiency or increase of operational costs.
