SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical, cosmetic and other industries. A composition is proposed for addition into polymer materials, which consists of zinc oxide nanoparticles, homogenously distributed in water or organic matrix. The zinc oxide nanoparticles are pre-treated with amine or organosilane. The method of obtaining such a composition involves preparation of an aqueous solution of amine, preparation of zinc acetate and sodium or potassium hydroxide powder, dissolving zinc acetate in the prepared solution with subsequent addition of sodium or potassium hydroxide to the acetate-amine-water mixture, separation of the obtained zinc oxide nanoparticles from the sodium or potassium acetate solution, washing the particles, treatment with organosilane and addition into water or organic matrix.

EFFECT: obtaining dispersions of nanocrystalline zinc oxide, compatible with water and organic matrices, containing nonsintered oxide nanoparticles, uniformly distributed in the volume.
