FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical technologies which use electrochemical processing of liquid, including water and aqueous solutions, for measuring their physicochemical properties. The reactor for electrochemical processing of liquid contains electrochemical cells, the number of which is a multiple of two, made from vertical cylindrical, coaxially placed outer and inner electrodes and a ceramic diaphragm, placed between the electrodes and separating the interelectrode space into electrode chambers. The lower and upper units for fitting and fastening electrodes and diaphragm are made with possibility of inlet and outlet of liquid. Electrode chambers are linked with each other through collector sections, made from dielectric material, and each section is made in form of three hollow cylinders of different diametre, the cavities of which are linked. The axis of the big cylinder is perpendicular to axes of the small cylinders, which are parallel to each other and do not intersect with the axis of the big cylinder. The cavities of the small cylinders lie at a tangent to the big cylinder and axes of the small cylinders lie at a distance from each other, which is greater than the value of the smallest inner diametre of the small cylinder. The inner and outer surfaces of the big cylinder are conical such that, when collector sections are joined, they enter each other without leaving a gap.
EFFECT: reduced hydraulic friction and stable operation.
