SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises receiving reverse activity bit (RAB) from communication system access circuit and transmitting RAB from aforesaid circuit to multiple digital filters to produce filtered RABs. Rate of transmission via follow-up channel is determined proceeding from aforesaid filtered RAB values that serve to determine a smooth power level for every rate updating. Access terminal displays continuous smooth power level for actual physical transmission using blurring over discrete power levels tolerable at physical level.
EFFECT: increased transmission capacity provided for by data transmission rate control.
