FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine and can be used for evaluation of volume of adipose tissue of the whole body of particular person by method of magnetic-resonance tomography (MRT). Essence of method lies in the following: magnetic-resonance scanning (MRS) of the whole body is carried out in mode, ensuring obtaining of image, on which fat signal is detected, with further calculation of total area of sections corresponding to adipose tissue, by which total volume of adipose tissue in person's body is evaluated taking into account thickness of scanned sections. Before calculating total area of sections corresponding to adipose tissue, by which total volume of adipose tissue in person's body is evaluated taking into account thickness of scanned sections, additional MRS is carried out in mode ensuring suppression of fat signal. Difference image is obtained by subtraction of images, obtained in MRS mode, ensuring obtaining of image, on which fat signal is detected and additional MRS. Difference image is used for further calculation of total area of sections corresponding to adipose tissue.
EFFECT: application of claimed invention ensures increase of accuracy of evaluation of adipose tissue volume in person's body, simplifies differentiation of tissues on MRT image and favours automation of calculation of total fat volume in person's body, allows to use the most informative for diagnostics scanning modes, ie combine determining of fat volume with usual diagnostics.
