FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to definition of optimal cutting speed by carbide-tipped tooling by selected initial parametre and includes preheating of tools samplings, implementation of measuring of temperature in contact zone toolmaking - treated material at different cutting speeds with construction of graphic dependence. For reduction of labour-intensiveness concerning carbide-tipped toolings of applicability group K in the capacity of initial parametre it is installed temperature of preheating of carbide-tipped tooling, at which in its structure the most is displayed endothermic effect, providing the most reduction of adhesive contact of contact surfaces. Then by constructed graphic dependence cutting speed - cutting temperature is assigned in the capacity of optimal cutting speed, at which heating temperature in area of working contact of tooling and treated material corresponds temperature, at which in the most appears endothermic effect.
EFFECT: there is displayed endothermic effect.
