FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electrolytic etching of metals and can be used when treatment of flat sections, particularly strips of tool steel and/or C-steel. Method includes usage of at least one pair of subtend electrodes with at least one adamantine electrode and/or at least one leaden-tin electrode, for instance, from alloy lead 93/ tin 7, herewith current supply is implemented, on the one hand, directly on flat section and, on the other hand, on pair of electrodes, herewith adamantine electrode and/or leaden-tin electrode of electrodes pair and, in corresponding case, flat section is included in the capacity of anode, and the other electrode - in the capacity of cathode, and flat section is directed between electrodes of electrodes pair. Device includes at least one pair subtend electrodes between which it can be directed flat section, herewith electrode includes at least one adamantine electrode and/or at least one leaden-tin electrode, for instance from alloy lead 93/ tin 7, herewith it is provided device for current application, on the one hand, directly on flat section and, on the other hand, on electrodes, so that one electrode and/or at least one leaden-tin electrode - in the capacity of anode, and flat section in corresponding case is connected in the capacity of anode.

EFFECT: reducing of steel etching duration.
