FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and to electrolytic treatment of metals and can be used for removal of oxide films of metals - iron oxide, haematite, magnetite, scale, formed during cold and hot rolling and heat treatment. Method comprises continuous feed of electrolyte into bath to cleaned surfaces of rolled stock, polarisation of said surfaces by creating potential difference between rolled stock and electrode, pulling belt, connected to an anode current source, through electrolytic bath, wherein belt treatment is performed at potential difference between anode and cathode of 280-340 V and current density on anode from 0.4 to 0.6 a/cm2, belt rolled stock is pulled through electrolytic bath at rate providing time for passage of elementary area of rolled stock through electrolyte in range of 10-20 seconds, where area of surfaces of belt immersed in electrolyte is determined by ratio Sa< Sto/2, where Sa is area of surfaces of belt immersed in electrolyte Sto - cathode surface area.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of energy consumption per unit area of treated surface, higher quality of cleaning, higher stability and efficiency of cleaning.
