SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering. A method, device and system are proposed for optimum selection of a connection network (VPLMN2) at the location of a terminal. The terminal sends a request through a network device (proxy) of the first communication network (VPLMN1) relative the second communication network (VPLMN2) to another network device (WLAN DB). After checking the request, the other network device (WLAN DB) sends a response message to the terminal (MS), where the reply message contains information, depending on which terminal (MS) is registered in the communication network (VPLMN2).
EFFECT: possibility of simple and efficient selection of a communication network by a terminal.
