FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in determining concentration of toluene in vapour-gas mixtures in chemical, petrochemical industries and other fields for environmental monitoring. The sensor includes a quartz piezoelectric resonator and electrodes with film-type gas-sensitive coating, made from fulvic acid, separated from humus through repeated operations of aerosol spraying an aqueous polymer solution with radius of water droplets of (5-15)10-8 m and subsequent drying at room temperature for overall change of mass in electrodes of 1.2×10-5 g.
EFFECT: increased stability due to longer operation of the gas-sensitive layer to up to 100 hours, retention of sorbing properties during prolonged storage and reduced cost.
