FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology and can be used in measuring devices for monitoring the environment, measuring concentrations and finding leaks of hazardous and expensive gases, monitoring the tightness of products containing hazardous chemicals, and other devices used in various industries, in scientific research. According to the invention, the gas sensor is made in the form of a dielectric substrate with metal interpenetrating comb electrodes applied to it, on the surface of which a film of a sensitive coating made of a dielectric electroactive polymer material is applied.
EFFECT: converting a change in the composition of the atmosphere into a change in electrical resistance by changing the conditions for injecting a charge into a layer of electroactive material.
