FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: metal cutting tool has at least one socket for cutting plate fixed in it with possibility of being removed and interacting with adjustment mechanism. Cutting plate has two adjustment slots passing between two opposite main surfaces and having access to each of them. Adjustment mechanism includes at least one adjustment element having upper surface; at that, in top view of the main surface of at least one cutting plate, outlet of adjustment slot on each main surface of plate overlaps at least partially upper surface of adjustment element. At that, adjustment slot and its outlet is intended for making the access to adjustment mechanism located below easier.

EFFECT: enlarging manufacturing capabilities owing to decreasing radial space occupied with adjustment mechanism.
