FIELD: construction engineering.

SUBSTANCE: fire-resistant binder in the form of suspension of glass solution of density 1.01 to 1.22 kg/dm3, mullite-siliceous fibre loose to concentration 4 to 5 wt % and aluminium sulphate, is prepared by agitation. Aluminium sulphate is added in amount whereat pH to the suspension is close to the neutral medium. The prepared binder (suspension) fills in a reactor and in continuous agitation powdered magnesium oxide and aluminium oxide are introduced. Magnesium and aluminium oxides are related to aluminium-magnesium spinel MgAl2O4 with the ratio of magnesium oxide, aluminium oxide and the suspension being (wt %): (10 to 30): (30 to 40): (33 to 50) respectively. After thorough agitation, the mixture is moulded and dehydrated.

EFFECT: higher service durability of the refractory material, method simplification.
