FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemistry of high-molecular compounds, specifically to copolymers of N-vinyl amides. According to the invention, the copolymer is characterised by general formula An-Bm, where A is an N-vinyl amide residue, B is a vinyl saccharide residue, and where n=100-m mol %; m=10.0-35.0 mol %. The vinyl saccharide residue used is (meth)acryloyl-sorbose, crotonoyl-sorbose. The N-vinyl amide residues used are N-vinyl formamide, N-vinyl pyrrolidone, N-methylvinyl amide. The copolymers are obtained in the presence of a radical initiator - dinitrile of azo-isobutyric acid, and then hydrolysed in aqueous solution of formic acid.
EFFECT: water-soluble copolymers in accordance with the invention have low-toxicity and high level of immuno-stimulating activity.
