FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: facility for fine-strengthening treatment is actuated for line and cross feeds, while treated billet is actuated for rotation. The facility for fine-strengthening treatment consists of a case in form of a disk, of a cam drum rigidly fixed relative to the case and of damping elements. Cams formed with recesses and lugs are made on the end of the case. Deforming elements are secured on ends of leaf springs. With their other ends leaf springs are radially and rigidly attached to the end of the disk, while their middle part contacts the cam drum. The disk with deforming elements is actuated to rotation thereby applying pulse load force to deforming elements. Lengthwise axes of rotation of the billet and disk with deforming elements are set mutually perpendicular.
EFFECT: expanded process functions, control over depth of strengthened layer and micro-relief of surface.
