FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: optical characteristics of leaves are measured in method. Extent of light scattering coherence in G-leaf plates is defined with intensities of exposure of red spectrum area of 100-300 W/m2 by monochromatic radiation, as well as relative change of optical density of leaf - Dr with intensities of red spectrum area exposure to monochromatic radiation of 800-2000 W/m2. Reaction of plants at latent virus infection and extent of its injuriousness are determined by extent of these indices - G×Dr - reduction versus reference level of healthy plants.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce labour intensiveness of analyses and to increase validity of information on functional condition of apple tree plants in case of virus infection in latent phase of disease development.
