FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: there is developed an express diagnostic technique for bacteria Yersinia which is based on the multiplex PCR followed with analysing the lengths of amplified fragments and provides a generic identification of bacteria Yersinia and a specific identification of those pathogenic for human (Y. pestis, Y. pseudotuberculosis and Y. enterocolitica). As a target, a gene coding OmpF porin is specified. The invention allows for simultaneous detection and differential diagnostics of pathogenic and nonpathogenic Yersinia, and also the specific identification of Yersinia pathogenic for human; herewith diagnostic specificity is improved, the analysis time decreases, the analysis is simplified, and diagnostic cost is reduced. The invention can be used in medicine to diagnose acute and chronic infections caused by bacteria Yersinia; in veterinary practice to detect Yersinia caused infectious diseases of farm animals, and bacilli carriers, and also to study Yersinia bacterial semination of epidemiologically significant objects (greenhouses, vegetable stores, kitchens, etc.).
