FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to increase homogeneity of steel plate. Elimination of local overcooling of plate is achieved by the fact that it is separated into front end area, area of the front part and central area, cooling device is separated in section of front stage and section of back stage in direction of steel plate motion, besides water is not sprayed at sections of cooling device front stage as front end surface of steel plate passes by, spraying is carried out with gradual increase of cooling water amount from 80-95 vol.% of standard water density as front part area passes by till standard water density as border part of front part area and central part area approach near, spraying is continued with standard water density in area of central part, on section of back stage of cooling device amount of water is taken up to 80-95 vol. % of standard water density as front end area of plate passes by, gradually increasing it up to standard water density as border part of front part area and area of central part approach near, and spraying is continued with standard density as central part area passes by.
EFFECT: method includes cooling of displaced hot-rolled plate by spraying of cooling water from nozzles arranged at the top and bottom of cooling device.
