SUBSTANCE: proposed plant comprises cooling head 1 with central feed tube 2 and multiple discharge atomisers 3 fitted in their holder 4. Higher cooling quality at low flow rates, fast selection of optimum flow rate and ruled out leaks results from communication of cooling head via pipeline 6 with, at least, first valve 7 designed to release air from cooling head on filling with coolant and to prevent air back feed into cooling head. Partial vacuum ban be created in cooling head 1 when fluid pressure upstream of outlets 3 is lower than that required for necessary flow rate.
EFFECT: better cooling of hot metal plates or strip.
