FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analysis of natural and artificial material, as well as water media. The method involves preparation of a platinum (II) solution in hydrochloric acid, extraction of platinum (II) using a sorbent and its conversion to a complex compound on the surface of the sorbent, measurement of luminescence intensity of the surface platinum (II) complex and determination of platinum (II) content, where the sorbent used is silica which is chemically modified with thiadiazole-thiol groups, and luminescence intensity is measured at 580 nm and 77K.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity and analyis information content.
