FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in degreasing surface of base material of item out of copper or copper alloy and in forming preliminary layer of oxide on its surface; also preliminary layer consists of oxides of base material. Further this material is wetted in form of film with reactive chemical substances producing salts of metal. Chemical substances are applied with at least one structured knurling roller.
EFFECT: procedure facilitates production of item out of copper or copper alloy with non-organic painted coating resistant to effects of weather conditions and of good appearance, easily modified by colour and structure.
