FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: cavitation fuel oil heating device includes housing with rods installed in it across the flow and supply pipelines of wet fuel oil and heat carrier, namely water vapour, and discharge of water-fuel oil mixture, which are connected to the housing. At that, rods are hollow, and housing is provided with covers in which there are water vapour distribution channels; at that, one of the covers is connected to heat carrier supply pipeline to supply heat carrier through the channels made in the cover to hollow rods, and the other one - to discharge pipeline of cooled heat carrier from rods. At that, rods are installed in rows in transverse direction, and on external and internal surface of rods there are annular alternating transverse projections and grooves or those which are made along helical line. At that, grooves are made so that they form passages between neighbouring rods for fuel oil and water vapour, which are supplied to the housing. Method of heating fuel oil by means of the above device consists in the fact that to the housing there supplied is wet fuel oil and heat carrier so that there formed are cavitation zones flowing around the rods and vortex formation of flows of fuel oil and heat carries with simultaneous mixing of flows and heating of wet fuel oil. At that, heat carrier is passed at the same time through hollow rods by heating the latter.

EFFECT: increasing emulsification efficiency, decreasing dimensions and providing the possibility of controlling the temperature, dispersion ability and humidity of the obtained water-fuel oil emulsion.
