FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydrogen power engineering, namely, to a method for recovering hydrogen from metal hydrides. Method consists in recovering hydrogen from metal hydride by diffusion of hydrogen. At the same time, a nickel-cadmium battery with metal-ceramic electrodes is used as a metal hydride, and an electrochemical reaction of thermal acceleration is used to recover hydrogen, which is triggered by 50 V voltage pulse for 0.5 sec and then maintained at a charge voltage of 1.8 V.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the rate of hydrogen recovery from metal hydride, the controllability of the process and the absence of energy loss for heating the electrodes.
