FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: usage for continuous contactless roentgen fluorescent analysis immediately in a flow of bulk and solid materials. One defines dependence of dead time of an energy-dispersive spectrometre on the distance between the surface of the material being analysed and the spectrometre detection unit. Then one defines the range of distances between the material being analysed and the detection unit and/or range of dead time of the spectrometre within which measurement of the analysis results meet the requirements to analysis precision due to the distance variation. After measurement of the roentgen fluorescence spectra of the material being analysed one calculates the value of dead time and/or distance between the material being analysed and the detection unit for each spectrum which is calculated by the dead time value. If the dead time and/or distance calculated by the dead time falls outside the pre-defined range of optimum values such a spectrum and all the analysis results obtained based thereon are excluded from consideration.
EFFECT: improved authenticity of the analytical information obtained and efficiency of the continuous contactless roentgen fluorescent analysis immediately in a flow.
