FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry, in particular to production of chewing gums and also to methods of their production. Chewing gum base comprises elastomer, which contains block copolymer of sterol and diene and elastomer plasticiser.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce time required to mix the components in production of chewing gum base, and also due to ability of chewing gum base to become softer and more plastic as temperature increases, to produce chewing gums that are extruded and shaped at high temperatures.
