FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine air-to-fuel ratio control device intended for smoothing variation in air-to-fuel ratio in multiple ICE cylinders comprises transducer to measure ICE output signal, device to calculate correlation function for every cylinder allowing for mutual correlation of magnitudes measured by aforesaid transducer and reference signal for every cylinder, device to calculate smoothing target value common for all cylinders and cylinders controllers to generate input control signal for appropriate cylinders providing for convergence to smoothing target value. Method of smoothing variation in air-to-fuel ratio comprises the following stages: measuring ICE output signal, calculating the function of correlation for every cylinder allowing for mutual correlation of magnitudes measured by aforesaid transducer and reference signal for every cylinder, calculating smoothing target value common for all cylinders and generating input control signal for appropriate cylinders providing for convergence to smoothing target value.
EFFECT: higher engine efficiency.
